Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling Achieves AWS Certification Across all California Manufacturing Facilities

Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling (RCCB) continues to advance its commitment to operational excellence and protecting local water resources with a notable achievement across its manufacturing operations.
RCCB’s Production Centers in Downey, Los Angeles and San Leandro, Calif., have each earned Core Certification by the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), an internationally recognized standard for responsible water use and sustainable operations.
The AWS Core Certification recognizes a site’s work to improve water-use efficiency, safeguard water quality, and address shared water challenges in the communities where it operates. The achievement reflects strong collaboration among facility teams and partners throughout the certification process.
With these certifications, RCCB becomes the first bottler in Coca-Cola’s North America Operating Unit to achieve AWS Core Certification. Globally, RCCB’s Downey, Los Angeles and San Leandro, Calif., facilities are among 41 Coca-Cola System sites to earn this designation.
RCCB now operates three of the 12 sites that AWS has certified in California. These certifications place the company’s California manufacturing centers among a small group of facilities in the state that meet AWS’ standards for water stewardship.
This achievement also reflects RCCB’s broader commitment to creating a positive impact on local communities. Water stewardship is a key pillar of the company’s RCCB Cares approach to corporate social responsibility and extends across all eight of RCCB’s Production Centers. By focusing on water efficiency, treatment, assessment and replenishment, RCCB supports The Coca-Cola Company’s comprehensive approach to sustainability while helping protect local water resources. AWS Core Certification demonstrates this commitment and highlights RCCB’s progress toward advancing the sustainability goals detailed in its 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Report.
